Symbolizing the enduring spirit of Australian and New Zealand troops,
the ANZAC Oatmeal Cookie assumed an increasingly important role as World War I
dragged on. Baked by the women at home using only the ingredients that were
available due to rationing, this little cookie played a vital role in lifting
the morale of the soldiers at the front and later, as a fund raiser for the Red Cross.
Today, the ANZAC Oatmeal Cookie is continuing to support veterans and their families.
With each package or tin sold in the USA, 4% of Unibic North America Sales are
contributed to the VFW to support their medical, educational and social programs.
